This rustic California native plant garden was created to be a habitat garden and it draws playful birds, butterflies and all sorts of wildlife. We re-purposed concrete slab pieces for the walkway, and there is a dry stream bed and pool running through the middle of the garden. Sited on heavy clay, the garden is a very low maintenance garden which is watered at most every couple weeks from water collected by rain barrels, and almost no water at all in the latter and early part of the year.
