Nestled in a wide rectangular lot in the middle of West Valley is a hidden Frank Lloyd Wright house. Originally built on a featureless plot, I developed a landscape plan with the current home owner that broke up the space with hedgerows and paths, and formed surprising garden spaces in corners and lengths along the periphery. In one such space is an enigmatic concrete reflection pool, and in another area, rows of fruit trees. In the spirit of Wright, the landscape inspires change and investigation within the property and throughout the seasons in an unfussy yet nuanced natural order.
